DRH Barista Series

In this series you'll meet members of the DRH family.  Meet Kiya...

Kiya is a Senior at Nevada State High School where she will graduate with her associate's degree in secondary education. She plays volleyball and is a state champion! While she absolutely loves being a barista, she hopes to become a teacher one day. I asked Kiya what her go-to drink is...she has several.  Kiya is a creative barista and is constantly asking people to "Try this!" and "What do you think about this one?"  When I asked her to please narrow it down, she gave me three.  If you like fruity, sweet and milk alternatives this list is for you!

 Kiya is quite the avid reader at a pace of about one book a month. Pretty impressive for a student with a full-time job. She is currently reading Call Me By Your Name by Andre Aciman and is loving it so far. She just finished reading Yearbook by Seth Rogan and refused to read the last chapter because she did not want it to be over. She also laughed so much she cried.  If you've been looking for a new book, I'd say this one is a safe bet. We've got copies of both books available at Dam Roast House.  If it isn't obvious, Kiya is your go-to for book recommendations! It's a running joke around here that she looks miserable behind the bar...but don't be afraid to approach her, it's just her resting b*tch face.  She's super friendly and hilarious.  Just don't order a smoothie, she hates making those and if you really want to get on her good side, bring your dog in.  She lives for a cute dog.
